Stuttering sucks, there's no nice way to put it. BUT, there comes a point in life where you have to turn your focus on the all the wonderful things you can do and have accomplished. Are you a good skier? Writer? Chef? Trumpet player? Computer whiz? Community activist? Marathoner? Remember to focus on all the wonderful aspects of your life. Most importantly, the fact that you stutterer is only a fraction of who you really are. Don't let stuttering make you feel insecure and Definitely don't turn to alcohol to numb your pain or turn you into someone you're not.

Hi I was google'ing for a vintage shops in Brussels and I found your post with the info's :),
Nevertheless, I review you blog and I come up to this post about stuttering.
I stutter as well, all my life for almost 30 years. I know that alcohol could temporary relax and make you fill forgetting your daily issues, that's why we stutter less as we do not think much about that. However this cannot solve our issue, at the moment when I remind myself that I stutter, the alcohol influence can make it even worse at that particular moment :)
I think the best way is just to accept who you are and try to find your ways work on it....despite of my age I hope that my stuttering "free" renaissance will come
Best regards,
